Job DescriptionDirect Counsel is representing a national law firm seeking a dynamic and driven Entertainment Transactions Associate to join its New York office. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level attorney (3–6 years of experience) with a passion for entertainment and intellectual property to work on high-level corporate transactions, content creation, and rights acquisitions.
This position blends the thrill of the entertainment industry with the rigor of corporate law, offering a front-row seat to complex IP deals, catalog acquisitions, and production-related legal matters. What You'll Do

Draft, negotiate, and manage sophisticated agreements in music and other entertainment IP.

Support major catalog sales, acquisitions, and IP transactions.

Advise on production matters related to the creation and distribution of film, television, and digital content.

Work alongside partners, associates, and consultants on multifaceted entertainment and financing deals.

Strategically support high-profile talent, studios, investors, and rights holders.

Who You Are

An attorney with 3 to 6 years of corporate transactional experience, ideally within the entertainment or IP field.

Experienced in catalog sales/acquisitions (preferred).

A strong communicator with excellent drafting, negotiation, and client management skills.
