The Sand & Metal Blaster plays a crucial role in preparing surfaces for finishing and coating processes. Responsibilities:
- Operate sandblasting and metal blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces.
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot blasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Document work performed and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sandblasting or metal blasting.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in a blasting environment.
- Knowledge of surface finishing processes.
- Experience with various blasting materials and techniques
- proficiency in operating sandblasting equipment and a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in sandblasting or surface preparation
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
