Job Description
I. TITLE: Specialist – Quality Improvement (Residential Services)
II. SUPERVISOR: Director – Residential Services
III. HOURS PER WEEK: 40
IV. QUALIFICATIONS: BA, BS in Human Service field preferred. Minimum two years directline Child Care responsibilities; proficiency in data entry. Computer skills and strong time management and organizational skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Able to work effectively and collaboratively within a highly diverse multidisciplinary team of service providers; Efficient documentation and recordkeeping skills;
V. FUNCTIONS: To assist Residential Services and Quality Improvement with record
keeping, program compliance, support and coordination.
VI. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Residential Services
- Assist in the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of Residential Counselor applicants.
- Maintain list of residential staff and schedules.
- Coordinate staff assignments for home visit transportation
- Maintain petty cash for home visit transportation and Residential programming
- Cash Residential allowance checks and distribute to units
- Review schedules to track overtime in the Residential department.
- Maintain daily census records.
- Attend weekly Residential Program Managers meeting, keep and distribute notes.
- Act as a liaison between Residential units and support services.
- Provide backup for unit inspections
- Assist in submitting documentation of credit card use.
- Participate in assigned meetings
- Assist with oversight activities as requested. This includes, but is not limited to, COA, OCFS quarterly reviews, and OCFS voluntary agency reviews.
- Assist with gathering and maintaining files needed for investigations and program/staff corrective actions.
- Report out data on a weekly basis. This includes, but is not limited to, incidents, overtime, CFTSS utilization, weekly activities/outings.
- Assist in training of outlook, SharePoint, and AWARDS.
- Participate in case record reviews.
General
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives in accordance with regulations
- Maintain program/client records including filing of case related materials, organizing and filing contracts of individual service providers/referring agencies
- Abide by the NYS Justice Center and the SAI Codes of Conduct/Ethics
- Perform other duties as assigned/requested
