\n\nSchedule\n
12-hour day shifts with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 3:1. Nurses will be expected to be part of the Resource Float team and may float to appropriate units as needed, including working every other weekend.
\n\nJob Description\n
We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of clinical experience in a similar specialty and must be ACLS and BLS certified. The nurse will provide care for patients with a range of acute conditions, including cardiac diagnoses, post-cardiac procedures, and those requiring advanced monitoring.
\n\nResponsibilities\n

- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and manage IV therapies.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Perform necessary clinical procedures including starting IVs and managing cardiac drips.
- Document patient care and progress accurately using the EPIC documentation system.

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a Progressive Care Unit or telemetry setting.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification required; NIHSS certification required prior to start.
- New York State RN license or proof of application required (must be submitted at time of application).
- Epic experience from within the past 2 years is mandatory.
