About the Role: This is a seasonal position.

The Pool Operations Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall functionality of swimming pools and aquatic facilities. This position involves regular monitoring and maintenance of pool water quality, equipment, and surrounding areas to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all users. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing pool systems, including filtration and heating equipment, to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, the role requires adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as effective communication with facility management and patrons. Ultimately, the Pool Operations Technician contributes to a positive recreational experience by maintaining high standards of pool operation and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in pool operation and maintenance (e.g., Certified Pool Operator).
  • Basic knowledge of pool chemistry and water treatment processes.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a service technician in the pool maintenance industry is preferred.
  • Strong Mechanical Background
  • Driver's License
  • Familiarity with local health and safety regulations related to pool operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular water quality tests and adjust chemical levels as necessary to maintain safe swimming conditions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.
  • Ensure cleanliness of pool decks, changing areas, and surrounding facilities by performing daily cleaning tasks.
  • Monitor pool usage and enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure the well-being of all patrons.
  • Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management for further action.
