Job Description
\nAs a Level 4 RN in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), you will be an essential part of a specialized surgical team responsible for providing high-quality perioperative care to cardiac and vascular surgery patients. This role demands exceptional clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. You will diagnose and respond to patients' human responses to actual or potential health challenges through comprehensive nursing services such as patient assessment, health teaching, counseling, and supportive care to promote optimal recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver specialized care to cardiovascular surgery patients during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases\n
- Monitor patient vitals and manage complex cardiac equipment\n
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the entire surgical team\n
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in compliance with hospital protocols\n
- Participate in ongoing education and skills development to stay current with CVOR procedures and best practices\n

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is highly preferred\n
- Valid NY State RN license (must be current and unrestricted)\n
- BLS certification (required)\n
- Prior experience in a CVOR or cardiac surgery setting highly desirable\n
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English\n
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills\n
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems\n
- Cardiac patient care experience is preferred, emphasizing proficiency in cardiac monitoring and instrumentation\n
