Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A direct hire opportunity is available for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support a closed-door long-term care (LTC) facility. This role focuses on day shift production, offering the chance to work within a fast-paced environment handling approximately 600 prescriptions daily. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and committed to delivering accurate and timely medication preparations to residents.
Work Schedule:
- Thursday: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare medications in appropriate packaging formats such as blister packs and unit-dose to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications, maintaining inventory with attention to expiration dates.
- Maintain accurate patient and medication records in adherence to facility protocols.
- Utilize Frameworks software system; training will be provided.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- NY State Pharmacy Technician License preferred but not mandatory.
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work the specified Thursday through Sunday shift schedule.
