Facility Coordinator
Remote (East Coast)
Permanent Position
$24/hour
Reports to: Operations Specialist

Position Summary

A detail-oriented and organized Facility Coordinator is needed to support facility maintenance operations. This role is critical in managing maintenance work orders and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in facilities maintenance and is comfortable using facility management software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review incoming maintenance work orders for accuracy and completeness.

  • Prioritize and schedule tasks based on urgency, client needs, and available resources.

  • Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and vendors to assign work, provide instructions, and monitor progress.

  • Utilize facility management software to manage work orders, track labor/material costs, and generate maintenance reports.

  • Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders regarding work order status and scheduling.

  • Collaborate with procurement to source necessary supplies, equipment, and services.

  • Provide guidance and training to technicians on work order procedures, safety, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in facility management or a related field is a plus.

  • Experience in facility maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with clients, team members, and vendors.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.

  • Occasional walking may be required.

  • Some travel may be necessary.

Work Environment

  • Fully remote role with expectations for a professional home office setup.

  • Quiet environment suitable for regular video meetings.

  • Business casual attire and good personal presentation are expected during virtual meetings.
