Job Title: Trainee Technician
Location: Port Jervis, NY
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (may include some Saturdays, depending on business needs)
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Job Summary:
We are hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Trainee Technician to join our manufacturing team in Port Jervis, NY. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals interested in learning the basics of manufacturing while following strict safety and sanitation procedures. As a bilingual (English/Spanish) team member, you will help support communication within a diverse workforce and assist technicians in executing production processes, cleaning and assembling equipment, and maintaining GMP compliance.
This is a temp to perm opportunity with long-term career potential for reliable and motivated individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Verify raw materials needed for production batches.
- Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble equipment such as mixers and grinders.
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing tanks per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Complete sanitation logs and equipment cleaning records accurately.
- Load and fill manufacturing tanks in accordance with batch records.
- Fill out batch cards, verifying raw material control, expiration dates, lot numbers, and batch numbers.
- Drain finished product into containers and weigh as required.
- Follow GMPs, safety, environmental, and quality control standards at all times.
- Assist technicians in performing basic manufacturing tasks.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of GMPs, safety, environmental, and quality control procedures.
- Basic English and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math and conversions.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
