This position will provide support to the Limited Secure Placement (LSP) Programs for Brooklyn and Staten Island.
This is a full-time, permanent role works a 35-hour work week w/some evenings and weekends required as needed
Education: Minimum BSW or BA degree in related field required w/ at least one year experience in child welfare/social services -or- MSW or MA in relevant field preferred. Prior case management experience and child welfare knowledge preferred, specifically in congregate care.
* The incumbent must possess a valid NYS drivers license and reliable transportation.
The Case Planner provides direct casework services to resident youth and their families as a member of the LSP social service department, and collaborates with residential/other support staff. Performs all activities and administrative tasks/duties associated with effectively managing an assigned caseload, ensuring compliance with all ACS, OCFS and other agency partners. The Case Planner must be an independent thinker/ worker operating with a high level of integrity. Responsible and mature, able to manage sensitive/ confidential information; , ability to work effectively with stakeholders and have excellent time management, verbal and writing skills. This role requires field work as well as the office.
