Job Title: Telemetry Technician
Location: New York, NY
Assignment Duration: 9 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $38 – $44 per hour
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Telemetry Technician for an exciting job in New York, NY.
Key Responsibilities

Perform continuous EKG/ECG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias

Analyze ECG strips and promptly identify abnormal or life-threatening rhythm changes

Initiate emergency response codes when indicated and document cardiac rhythms during code events

Perform electrocardiograms in various clinical settings, ensuring proper electrode placement

Respond promptly and appropriately to all monitor alarms

Troubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment and resolve technical issues as needed

Communicate effectively with charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Enter, verify, and update orders in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Retrieve laboratory results and immediately report critical values to the appropriate clinical staff

Ensure all documentation meets clinical, regulatory, and organizational standards

Safely operate, clean, and maintain monitoring and medical equipment
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (current)

Completion of a recognized Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
