Position Title: Clubhouse Intern
Location: Lantern House Clubhouse
Benefit Classification: Part-Time Non-Benefitted

The Awesome Things You’ll Do
1. Case Management & Documentation
· Engage members in setting and achieving personal goals.
· Document all member interactions and activities in the electronic health record system, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
· Promote a person-centered approach through motivational interviewing and supportive guidance.
2. Communication & Media Management
· Develop, design, and distribute engaging content for newsletters, social media, and promotional materials to increase awareness and participation.
· Utilize Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud to create visually compelling and effective communications.
3. Activity Planning & Health Initiatives
· Organize and facilitate health and wellness programs, daily meal preparation, and structured group activities.
· Oversee and involve members in daily unit tasks, promoting responsibility, teamwork, and skill-building.
4. Outreach & Community Engagement
· Partner with members to design and implement outreach initiatives that foster participation and strengthen community connections.
· Create promotional materials, conduct outreach efforts, and serve as an ambassador for the Lantern House mission.
5. Compliance & Policy Management
· Interpret and uphold Clubhouse policies, the Code of Ethics, and Clubhouse International Standards.
· Provide clear guidance to members and staff on policies and best practices, responding to related inquiries as needed.
Activities are subject to change / be added to meet business needs with management approval.
Our Must Haves
- Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s program.
- Communication & Organizational Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; exceptional organizational ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work compassionately with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, creating an environment of empathy, acceptance, and encouragement. Must be flexible, creative, and energetic.
- Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; eager to learn and contribute to team success.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn Canva and other creative platforms.
- Adaptability: Must be resourceful and able to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
- Background Check: Background check is conducted as per OMH guidelines.
