About Us:

Sunnyside Landing Marina in Greenwood Lake NY is a relaxed refuge where our guests can enjoy cocktails and light fare along with lake amenities including kayak and boat slip rentals. Our Manager will take responsibility for both food and beverage sales at our concession, along with rental supervision, with the purpose of providing the ultimate guest experience.

Summary:

The Manager is responsible for the daily oversight and management of all concession and rental employees. They are to ensure smooth operations to deliver a quality customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development of staffing needs, assignments and management of staff schedules.
  • Creates and manages all beverage menus. Maintains cost and efficiency behind the bar through proper staff training, minimizing theft and over pouring prevention.
  • Opens and closes concession according to established company procedures and expectations including money handling.
  • Places orders with all liquor/food vendors and maintains complete inventory control.
  • Contributes to quality service delivery and customer experience through participation in the management of staff including recruiting/hiring, training, reviewing, communicating and managing ongoing performance management expectations and results.
  • Communicates, monitors, and assures assigned staff’s continuous adherence to required company policies and requirements as well as compliance with established federal/state and local policies and mandates relating to safety, health and welfare.
  • Avoids legal challenges by conforming to the regulations of the State Liquor Authority (SLA).
  • Remains aware of customer feedback, responsive to negative input, and seeks to expand favored experiences balancing customer satisfaction level enhancement and cost consciousness.
  • Participates in management meetings and development of marina objectives, operating principles and procedures.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience in food service, specifically bartending experience with craft cocktails
  • Experience training and developing bartenders and rental staff on upselling
  • Ability to implement effective bar/food systems and procedures to maintain efficiencies
  • Creativity to develop new cocktails seasonally
  • Create and develop special events i.e., Octoberfest, St Patrick’s Day, New Years Eve, etc.
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Working knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Remain standing for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours/day)
  • Customer Satisfactions orientation
  • Prefer previous management experience a plus but not required.
