Qualifications:

Currently serving as a Partner, Principal, Senior Manager, or Director with the skillset and ambition to step into a Principal-level role at a Top 50 public accounting firm
-
CPA or JD required
-
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
-
Proficiency with accounting and tax software

Excellent time management and the ability to work effectively with both clients and internal teams

Proven track record in practice development
Responsibilities:

Take full ownership of client engagements, including workflow and staffing assignments

Review and sign off on all client work prior to delivery

Demonstrate exceptional technical and professional expertise; make sound financial and business decisions

Foster open communication across all departments to ensure effective client service and staff utilization

Oversee and manage all staff within your group, including conducting performance reviews
-
Manage client billing, monitor receivables, and ensure timely collections
-
Create and implement policies to improve productivity and profitability while maintaining team morale

Travel to client offices when necessary, prepared with required documents and equipment
-
Follow all firm policies and HR procedures

Strengthen existing client relationships and proactively develop new ones through networking and community involvement

Represent the firm at public events, speak at community functions, and participate in civic and business organizations

Maintain a long-term commitment to the firm and its growth

Mentor junior staff in technical skills, relationship management, and business development

Participate in firm-wide recruiting and training initiatives

Continuously seek opportunities to expand services to current clients

Lead client meetings and bring team members to prospective engagements

Identify and grow personal areas of expertise

Develop and maintain relationships with bankers, attorneys, and other referral sources

Maintain name recognition through committee involvement and leadership roles

Conduct outreach such as client calls, lunches, and professional events on a regular basis

Share referrals with other firm leaders and cross-promote services internally

Submit articles or speak publicly to raise both personal and firm visibility

Keep your professional bio up-to-date for inclusion in proposals and marketing materials
