What You'll Do:

Design, build, and execute experimental workflows in a lab setting.

Prototype unique hardware and nanotech systems that integrate biology, chemistry, and engineering.

Operate and interpret data from advanced instrumentation (e.g., AFM, SEM, FTIR).

Collaborate effectively with government and industry partners, clearly communicating technical findings.

Contribute to literature reviews and help shape our overall technical strategy.
What You'll Need (Required Qualifications):

2+ years of hands-on experience as a "builder/hacker," demonstrating a strong ability to conceive and independently execute unique technical projects.

Examples of relevant projects include: scanning tunneling microscopy setups, artificial gills, or enzyme growth experiments.

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemistry (preferred), Biomedical Engineering, or demonstrated equivalent capability through independent work and foundational knowledge (formal degree not strictly required if capability is proven). Background from a top STEM school is strongly preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in biology, nanotechnology, and chemistry, primarily through independent project work.

Strong foundation in experimental workflows, advanced instrumentation, and hands-on lab work.(Preference for hands-on over purely computational experience).

Ability to conduct thorough literature reviews, design robust experiments, and proficiently use lab equipment.

Clear, confident communication skills, as this role involves direct interaction with government clients and agencies.

Willingness to work long hours in-office as part of a small, mission-driven team dedicated to tackling challenging experimental work.
