Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist - Queens, NY
Job Type: Full Time
Shift: Day, 40hrs/week
Setting: Home Care
Responsibilities:

Evaluate test results (e.g., hearing, language, barium swallow) and medical background to diagnose and develop treatment plans for speech, fluency, language, voice, or swallowing disorders
-
Provide speech-language therapy services to individuals across various age groups with cognitive or developmental challenges
-
Conduct periodic assessments and evaluations of patient progress
-
Maintain accurate documentation including Medicaid records, billing, evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge notes
-
Adjust treatment plans based on patient progress

Develop or implement treatment for conditions such as:
-
Stuttering
-
Delayed language development
-
Swallowing disorders
-
Voice issues (e.g., inappropriate pitch, harshness)

Administer standardized evaluations using oral, written, or instrumental methods to assess the degree of communication or swallowing impairments
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Speech & Hearing Science or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable)

Two years in a relevant role (e.g., Speech Therapist, Audiologist) or equivalent combination of education and training

Must be licensed by the New York State Education Department to practice Speech-Language Pathology
