Responsibilities:
The Client Military Aircraft Actuation Development Engineering Group is currently seeking a Design Drafter to work closely with Design, Product, and Manufacturing engineering to convert complex legacy 2D drawings into 3D solid models to support advanced manufacturing methods.
The design drafting position requires the incumbent to interpret a variety of drawings and layouts and utilize the Client Computer Aided Design (CAD) System, Siemens Teamcenter and NX, to generate a solid model and necessary manufacturing information for Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) operations.
Therefore, competent usage of CAD software is essential.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, an associate degree in a technical major with 1-3 years of drafting experience is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience with User Defined Features (UDF) and GD&T is preferred.
Due to involvement with certain government programs, US Citizenship is required.
This role will report to the East Aurora actuation site engineering manager and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY
