Seeking a Physician Assistant in the EmergencyDepartment who will be responsible for obtaining patient medical histories,performing physical examinations, and ordering necessary lab tests anddiagnostic procedures. They assess patient conditions, suggest differentialdiagnoses, and recommend appropriate treatment plans. Responsibilities alsoinclude prescribing medications, fluids, and diets (with physiciancountersignature), performing minor surgical procedures such as suturinglacerations, skin biopsies, and incision and drainage of abscesses, as well asinitiating consultations and scheduling special tests. The Physician Assistantassists in managing medical and surgical emergencies, including CPR andlife-threatening trauma cases, and provides counseling to patients and theirfamilies on preventative care and treatment plans. They conduct daily rounds,document patient progress, update charts, and communicate condition changes tothe supervising physician.

Compensation: $58.88 – $86.92 Per Hour

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience for Senior Physician Assistant roles.
• Licensed and registered as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
