Job Description:
* Provide habilitation services to each client as prescribed in that client's service plans (CFA, Individual Service plan, Habilitation plan).
* Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as preparing food, personal hygiene, and cleaning.
* Assist in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
* Willingness to support people's preferences for community activities, work, leisure activities, and the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* 1-year previous experience providing one on one direct care required with the developmentally disabled population.
* Ability to stay alert and always awake.
* Use a computer for data entry.
* Must obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification, TB Testing, and OPWDD Orientation before starting work.
* Must be willing to assist with tasks that require lifting and standing for long periods of time.
Location: Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Westchester County
Shift: Morning, Afternoon and Overnight
Pay rate: $16.00/hr. - $18.00/hr. (weekly payment)
