Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking experienced ICU RNs to join the Critical Care Float Pool in Utica, NY. This role requires adaptability and strong clinical skills, as nurses will float across multiple units based on hospital needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in high-acuity environments and managing diverse patient populations.
Job Details:
- Location: Utica, NY
- Shifts: Nights or Rotating (6:30 PM 7:00 AM)
- Floating: Required can be assigned to any unit except Psych and ED (unless managing holds)
- Assignments: May include Medical-Surgical units with 6-7 patients
- EMR System: Epic
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Unit Beds: 42
Common Patient Diagnoses:
- Neuro/Medical: Strokes, Sepsis, AMS, Neuro Intervention (TCAR), Respiratory Failure, CHF, Post-STEMI
- CTICU: Cardiogenic Shock, AAA, CV Surgery Recovery
- Surg/Trauma: Major post-op, Trauma cases
Specialty Equipment Used:
- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Ventriculostomy & ICP Monitoring
- Targeted Temperature Management (TTM)
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (Required)
- Licensure: Active NY RN License at the time of submission
- Verification: NURSYS Report with all active RN licenses required
- RTO: Must be included at submission
