FACILITIES MANAGER (LaGuardia Airport, NY)
Starting Pay: $115,000/yr.
Job Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of LaGuardia Terminal B and associated facilities
- Manage vendor and contractor performance to ensure quality and service standards
- Develop and execute facility maintenance plans aligned with Capital Asset and Quality Control strategies
- Propose plant and equipment modifications, including layouts, specs, and cost estimates
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements
- Serve as liaison among tenants, vendors, contractors, and internal departments
- Create, manage, and monitor facilities budget, forecasts, and expenditures
- Lead facility projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Conduct regular facility inspections and address deficiencies to maintain high standards
- Available to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in operations or facility management of large airport terminals or similar industrial environments
- 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams and/or contractors
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Transportation, or Engineering (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of airport systems, building maintenance, and safety compliance
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical documents and construction drawings
- Skilled in financial oversight, project management, and vendor coordination
- Proficient in tools such as BlueBeam Revu, AutoCAD, SmartSheets, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Able to lift/move items up to 50 lbs. as needed
- Ability to multitask
- Team-oriented with experience coaching for high performance
