Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Sunbelt Staffing is looking for a qualified Travel IMCU RN to join a progressive healthcare team in Utica, NY! This position offers a chance to showcase your expertise in a dynamic environment while exploring the historical significance and outdoor adventures that Utica boasts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to patients with complex medical conditions across Neuro/Medical, Cardiothoracic, and Surgical/Trauma specialties.
- Implement and manage advanced life support interventions, such as ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Continuously assess and interpret patient data, promptly identifying any changes or deterioration in their condition
- Educate patients and their families on the management of neurological conditions and the importance of self-care post-discharge
- Proficient in Epic electronic health records (prior experience a must).
- Be flexible and prepared to float to other units as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse license
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum of two years of experience in aIMCU/PCU setting
- Proficiency in advanced life support interventions and critical care monitoring
- Strong understanding of complex medical conditions like Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative care.
- Epic experience a plus
- Must have prior travel nursing experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
