Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of students in the Readiness Program, emphasizing early childhood development.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and support students learning goals.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure successful outcomes for all learners.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and participation in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
  • Valid state certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children, particularly in a Readiness Program or similar setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage a small student caseload.
