Counsel & Consumer Compliance Program Manager
Located onsite in Manhattan
$100K–$170K base salary (DOE)
Reports to: Chief Compliance Officer
Step into a high-impact leadership role where you’ll partner directly with executive leadership and influence the compliance strategy of a dynamic, growth-focused bank.
This role is ideal for a licensed attorney with at least 3 years of experience in banking law or regulatory compliance who is looking to blend legal acumen with strategic oversight.
What You'll Do:

Act as trusted counsel to the Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy Head of Compliance.

Lead the regulatory and corporate compliance monitoring and testing program.

Oversee regulatory change management, ensuring the Bank stays ahead of evolving laws.

Review documentation, disclosures, and marketing materials for compliance with consumer protection laws.

Manage legal processes including litigation, subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries.

Play a key role in the development of new products and services, ensuring compliance from inception.

Deliver and support ongoing compliance training programs across the Bank.

Analyze legal contracts and coordinate with internal and external counsel.
What You Bring:

Juris Doctorate and license to practice law in New York State.

3+ years of experience in legal or compliance roles within the banking or financial services industry.

Deep understanding of federal and state banking laws, especially consumer protection regulations.

Ability to translate complex regulations into practical business guidance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior leadership.

Mandarin fluency (verbal and written) is a plus, but not required.
