We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team in New York. This role provides essential support to teachers and students, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
- Support students with special needs by following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and recess
- Assist with behavioral management and social-emotional development
- Maintain a safe and organized learning environment
- municate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher preferred)
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong munication and teamwork skills
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed
- Ability to pass a background check
- Paraeducator certification (or willingness to obtain, depending on district requirements)
