Job DescriptionCommercial Solar Rooftop Foreman
Location: Travel required throughout the North East
Type: Full-Time | Experience: Mid-Senior Level
We’re hiring a Commercial Solar Rooftop Foreman to lead commercial solar installations with precision, professionalism, and ownership. This is not an entry-level or training role — we're looking for a proven leader who takes pride in getting the job done right and doesn’t pass the buck when things go wrong.
The right candidate leads by example, communicates clearly, and holds themselves and their team to high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You must be ready to travel, coordinate field teams, and ensure projects are completed to spec, on time, and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead the installation of commercial rooftop solar systems from layout through commissioning.
- Supervise crews, delegate tasks, and manage on-site performance.
- Read and interpret plansets, electrical diagrams, and structural drawings with confidence.
- Ensure all work meets NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, electricians, and procurement teams.
- Troubleshoot issues in real time and take proactive steps to prevent delays or rework.
- Report daily progress and field updates accurately and consistently.
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience on commercial rooftop solar installations.
- A track record of taking ownership — not excuses — and delivering reliable results.
- Ability to lead teams under pressure while maintaining a positive, professional work environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support regional projects.
- Strong understanding of racking systems, electrical interconnection, and balance-of-system components.
- Comfortable using digital tools for time tracking, reporting, and communication.
- OSHA 30 and relevant solar/electrical certifications (NABCEP, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
You’ll Thrive Here If You Embody Our Core Values:
- Ambition: You set the bar high and keep raising it.
- Willing to Learn: You stay curious and adapt quickly.
- Knowledge: You bring your expertise to the table and stay sharp.
- Respect: You treat your team and the work with integrity.
- Teamwork: You know success is built together, not solo.
