Assignment Details

• Duration: 15 weeks

• Shift: Night Shift

• Schedule:

  • 1 shift per week

  • 12 hours per shift

  • 12 hours/week total

• Floating: Required between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery

Job Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Labor & Delivery/Postpartum services on 12-hour night shifts. This role supports comprehensive maternal and newborn care and requires flexibility to float across related units, including L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients

• Circulate during cesarean sections (required)

• Scrub for cesarean sections (preferred)

• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond to changes in condition

• Assist physicians and surgical teams during deliveries and procedures

• Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care

• Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital policies

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and continuity of care

• Float between L&D, Postpartum, and Nursery units as needed

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York State or eligible)

• Experience in Labor & Delivery required

• Circulating C-section experience required

• Ability to scrub C-sections preferred

• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

• Ability to work night shifts
