The Logistics & Quality Support Technician supports CGS Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control operations under the direction of the Lead Shipping and Receiving Clerk. This dynamic, floating position also collaborates with the Quality Department to ensure efficient material staging and accurate documentation archival.

This role involves processing incoming shipments, handling and staging materials, matching components with manufacturing drawings and job process travelers, performing packaging, kitting, and preparation of outgoing shipments. The technician supports inventory control activities supporting the production planner and works closely with the Quality Department to stage materials for inspection and testing, as well as to archive quality documentation in compliance with internal procedures. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the position supports multiple departments and shifting priorities based on the business needs in a fast-paced environment.

• Supports activities of Shipping and Receiving as directed by S&R Lead.
• Receive shipments for outside vendors
• Breakdown shipments and receive them into Syteline.
• Support materials management in the quality area when necessary.
• Transfer items in the system to inventory and over business units for processing.
• Transfer and prepare items for shipment as required.
• Assure data integrity in Syteline data involving receiving, inventory kitting and shipping.
• Organize and deliver vendor packing slips for accounting verification.
• Control inventory waiting for transfer to jobs and shipments.
• Work closely with other employees and department heads to ensure good communication.
• Support shipping and receiving items that required outside processing prior to completion.
• Support, package, stage, and label parts for customer requirements for kitting and shipping.
• Work closely with CGS personnel to expedite items to meet customer deliveries.
• Shipping products in Syteline ERP system
• Promote a safe workplace and good work practices.
• Maintaining the quality system guidelines and processes.
• Abide by company rules and regulations.
• Follow quality system guidelines and processes.
• Support quality documentation archival.
• Receive and maintain forklift license.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of materials management experience or combination of inventory management experience and education.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Clean Forklift License – can be certified after hire
• Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or related logistics functions preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation (e.g. drawings, travelers) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or ERP systems desirable
