Job Summary:
A healthcare facility in New York is seeking a Telemetry Technician responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced ECG analysis to support patient safety and clinical decision-making. This role requires accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms, timely identification of life-threatening arrhythmias, and effective communication with clinical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform continuous ECG/EKG monitoring and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias

Analyze ECG strips and promptly identify potentially life-threatening rhythm changes
-
Initiate and assist with codes; document cardiac rhythms during emergency events

Perform electrocardiograms with correct electrode placement across care settings
-
Troubleshoot telemetry and monitoring equipment; respond appropriately to alarms
-
Communicate clearly with charge nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff
-
Enter and verify physician orders in the electronic medical record system

Retrieve laboratory results and promptly report critical values

Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational policies

Safely operate and manage telemetry and medical monitoring equipment
Required Skills & Experience:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Certifications:
-
BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross – issued within the last year)
-
Completion of a Dysrhythmia Course (Required)
