Job Title: Conflicts Manager (Global Law Firm)

Summary:
The Conflicts Manager plays a critical leadership role in overseeing the firm’s conflicts of interest processes, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and minimizing risk exposure. This position manages a team of Conflicts Analysts and serves as a trusted resource for attorneys and firm leadership on conflict-related issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in legal conflicts management, with a strong ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and manage complex data with accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsibilities for Conflicts Manager (Global Law Firm):
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Conflicts Analysts, providing ongoing training, performance feedback, and career development.
- Oversee preparation, review, and analysis of conflict reports related to new business intake, attorney onboarding, and other firm initiatives.
- Serve as the primary contact for attorneys and staff regarding conflict inquiries, ensuring clear communication and high service standards.
- Coordinate and lead departmental projects, including conflict system upgrades and process improvements from initiation to completion.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of conflicts and client engagement databases, ensuring timely updates and eliminating duplicate or outdated data.
- Implement and manage ethical walls and other risk management procedures in coordination with the OGC.
- Conduct conflict checks using internal and external sources, analyzing corporate structures and relationships for potential conflicts.
- Contribute to hiring, training, and performance management processes in partnership with HR and OGC leadership.
Qualifications for Conflicts Manager (Global Law Firm):
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced training or certifications in legal operations or compliance a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal conflicts administration, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong expertise in conflicts procedures and best practices, with hands-on experience using Intapp Conflicts, Intake, and Walls.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a high degree of accuracy in data management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
