Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000-$74,000.00

Your Role as an Occupational Therapist (OT):

  • Deliver Individualized OT Services – Provide both individual and small group occupational therapy sessions within the classroom setting, ensuring therapy aligns with each student’s unique motor, sensory, and developmental needs.
  • Facilitate Executive Functioning & Organization Skills – Co-lead ADVANCE classes focused on strengthening students’ executive functioning, organizational strategies, and self-management skills.
  • Support Real-World & Transition Readiness – Teach courses in the Transition/Guidance department that focus on applied daily living skills (ADLs) and other real-world practices to prepare students for independence.
  • Collaborate with Faculty – Partner regularly with teachers and staff to address students’ physical, motor, and sensory needs. Provide consultation, strategies, and modeling to ensure accommodations and supports are embedded into the classroom environment.
  • Develop & Implement Interventions – Create and apply targeted interventions and strategies to meet students’ OT goals and objectives. Monitor progress and adjust plans to promote success in functional skill areas.
  • Maintain Professional Standards – Hold current registration and licensure as an occupational therapist. Participate in ongoing professional development, maintain compliance with school standards, and bring experience in special education and school-based practice to support best outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Registered and Licensed in Occupational Therapy.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively engaging with students, parents, and staff.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
