Position Overview:
We are looking for a Production Control/ Programmer to join our team at Schenectady Steel Company, Inc., in Schenectady NY. Primary roles and responsibilities:
- Coordinate items release for fabrication between Project Management and the shop
- Generate report for the shop(s) and/or purchasing departments (data input, cross checking reports to drawings, processing CNC programs).
- Receive, upload, and/or create CNC programs.
- Assist Supply Chain Manger with daily tasks.
- Assist with procuring materials and other items necessary for completing project goals.
- Performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Tracking and reporting project progress.
- Research information to support other team members.
- Assisting to coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Ability to understand, interpret, and convert feet/inches/fractions, etc.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments as required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Computer proficient with Microsoft office products/ Blue beam/ Tekla a plus.
- Experience with Steel Fabrication preferred
- IT experience is a plus
