Job DescriptionA national defense litigation practice is seeking a Transportation Litigation - Senior Attorney or Of Counsel to join its Transportation Litigation group in either of our offices located in Los Angeles, CA / Orange County, CA / New York, NY. The role involves handling complex litigation matters for clients in the logistics and transportation industries, with opportunities to lead cases and contribute to strategy development. This position offers hybrid work flexibility.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and oversee a caseload from inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
  • Conduct legal research on transportation laws, regulations, and related issues
  • Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements with strong advocacy skills
  • Provide case analysis and strategy updates to clients
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices to ensure effective representation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in California
  • Senior: 5-7+ years of litigation experience, with trial experience required
  • Of Counsel: 8+ years of defense litigation
  • First and/or second chair experience strongly preferred
  • Background in transportation, logistics, or regulatory compliance helpful
  • Experience with e-commerce or gig economy issues is a plus
  • Strong deposition and motion practice experience
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
