POSITION SUMMARY

The Student Recruitment Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic student enrollment, marketing, and enrollment initiatives that support the school’s growth and community presence. This individual will lead efforts to build awareness of BBL, strengthen brand visibility, attract prospective families, and ensure a high-quality enrollment experience. The role requires strong project management, marketing, and data analysis skills, and will involve close collaboration with school leadership and community partners.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategic Enrollment & Marketing Planning

  • Develop and implement annual recruitment, marketing plans aligned with enrollment goals and organization mission.

  • Lead market research initiatives to identify enrollment trends, community needs, and effective outreach strategies.

  • Design and manage targeted campaigns across digital, print, and community-based platforms to elevate school visibility.

Community Outreach & Engagement

  • Cultivate relationships with community organizations, local partners, and prospective families to drive engagement and enrollment.

  • Represent BBL at school fairs, public events, and parent forums to promote the school’s mission and programs.

  • Coordinate and host open houses, tours, and information sessions tailored to diverse audiences.

Marketing and Communications

  • Oversee all marketing activities, including branding, digital outreach, social media, email marketing, print collateral, and advertising.

  • Develop compelling content for newsletters, websites, social platforms, and recruitment materials.

  • Ensure all messaging is aligned with the school’s voice, values, and DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) commitments.

Data and Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics related to recruitment, enrollment, marketing, and engagement.

  • Leverage data to continuously refine outreach strategies and improve results.

  • Collaborate with leadership to produce dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Partnership

  • Partner with school-based staff and leadership to align recruitment and retention strategies with instructional goals and school culture.

  • Coordinate volunteer participation for recruitment events and community outreach.

Enrollment Operations

  • Manage the student application and enrollment process to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a family-centered experience.

  • Provide high-quality, proactive support to families, including assistance with application completion, document collection, and key deadlines.

  • Maintain and manage the enrollment database; generate timely reports on application status, trends, and targets.


OTHER FUNCTIONS

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director to support school-wide initiatives and goals.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Business, Education, or a related field.

  • 2–3 years of experience in student recruitment, marketing, outreach, or enrollment, ideally within urban schools or charter school educational environments.

  • Proven experience designing and managing integrated marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and digital advertising.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

  • Passion for education, equity, and working with diverse communities.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
