Position Summary:
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking an Assistant Director, Financial Aid in the department of Enrollment Management. The individual will be responsible for financial aid application processing, assistance in administration of financial aid programs, preparation of reports, enrollment management support for students, parents, and contacts, and support of the Director, Financial Aid. The Assistant Director will report to the Director, Financial Aid.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight in areas such as Federal, State and Institutional Aid Programs on a rotating basis with guidance from the Director, Financial Aid
- Meet and assist students and parents with financial aid application processing questions and resolutions
- Compute federal, state and institutional financial aid eligibility and prepare financial aid packages for returning and incoming students
- Complete verification of ISIRs and process electronic ISIR files to meet federal and institutional requirements
- Process electronic files for ISIRs, federal and private student loans and entrance/exit counseling requirements
- Assist with document tracking and financial aid communications with students and parents
- Perform account reconciliation as necessary
- Regularly review correspondence and electronic media from federal, state and other agencies to remain informed of changes in financial aid programs
- Review financial aid packages to ensure that overawards do not occur
- Administer the alternative loan program under the supervision of the Director
- Participate in all Enrollment Management functions
- Support additional responsibilities as needed in response to evolving office priorities

- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Great attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Access, Project and Outlook)
- Enjoys working in teams within a fast-paced, high energy and high traffic environment
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- One to three years of experience in financial aid, and/or banking
- Proficiency in PowerFaids, a plus
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Additional Information:
This hybrid position is based in Albany, NY. This role is required to be on-site at least 3 days per week, with the potential for up to 2 remote workdays per week, pending business need. All remote work must be performed in a state in which the College is registered to do business which includes New York, California, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Texas, Wisconsin, and Vermont. Standard work hours are from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Additional details pertaining to this position will be discussed during the interview process.
