Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N) and have a minimium of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist focused on delivering high-quality imaging services. This contract position is located in Canandaigua, NY, providing a chance to apply your expertise in a patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physicians orders to prepare for nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exam processes to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Position patients and perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in line with appropriate standards and regulations.
  • Analyze imaging results for quality assurance and take corrective actions when necessary, including repositioning and repeating procedures.
  • Administer, prepare, and manage radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Continuously monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies in the clinical nuclear medicine rooms and report findings accurately.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or Radiologic Technologist (RT) registered and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid New York State license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
  • CT certification and experience with PET/CT imaging are highly desirable.
