Job DescriptionPosition Title: Legal Biller
Compensation: $90,000 annually

Position Overview:

A professional services firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Billing Specialist to manage the full billing cycle for assigned clients and attorneys. This role involves preparing and submitting invoices, ensuring compliance with billing guidelines, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review new matters to ensure accurate setup, including billing rates, task codes, and compliance with client billing requirements.

  • Generate and edit proformas, apply narrative and task code changes, and prepare final invoices.

  • Submit electronic bills through various e-Billing platforms, troubleshoot rejections, and follow up until payment is received.

  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices in coordination with attorneys and collections staff.

  • Provide billing forecasts, budgets, and ad hoc reports to internal stakeholders and clients.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for billing-related inquiries for assigned accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 2–5+ years of billing experience in a legal or professional services environment.

  • Familiarity with billing software such as Elite or Aderant; experience with 3E is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a hybrid work setting.



Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
