We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our vibrant legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a passion for insurance law and a proven track record in civil litigation. You will be responsible for representing our clients in complex insurance defense cases, providing expert legal advice, and maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct. This role offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities
As an Insurance Defense Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in court , presenting evidence to defend clients in civil litigation.
2. Conducting legal research, preparing and arguing motions, and drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and appeals.
3. Providing expert legal advice on insurance matters, including claims handling, policy interpretation, and insurance coverage disputes.
4. Handling a wide range of insurance defense cases, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability claims.
5. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients, balancing the client's interests with the risk and expense of trial.
6. Staying updated with the latest developments in insurance law and civil litigation, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Insurance Defense Attorney position should have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and 1+ year of experience as an insurance defense attorney or in a similar role.
3. Extensive experience in civil litigation, including trial experience, and a deep understanding of insurance law.
4. Proven ability to handle a large caseload and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
5. Exceptional legal research skills and the ability to draft compelling legal briefs.
6. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes favorably for our clients.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
8. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
