Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to provide skilled care in a cardiac medical/telemetry unit. This role offers a dynamic environment with a 43-bed unit focused on acute med-surg and telemetry patients. The position is on a contract basis for 13 weeks and requires flexibility to meet the facility's scheduling needs, including floating to other units as needed.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM
- Rotating shifts including some 3 AM to 3 PM
- 36 to 48 hours per week available
- Minimum one weekend shift per week or two every other weekend
- At least one holiday shift required during the contract
- No block scheduling allowed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New York State RN license
- NIH AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute med-surg/telemetry nursing
- For international candidates, 2 years of U.S. work experience required
- Preferred: 2 years of recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac med/tele patients
- Accurate charting using EPIC electronic medical records
- Adapt to floating assignments across different units as needed
- Willingness to take on charge nurse responsibilities with provided training
