SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is looking to hire dynamic and engaging Box Office Supervisors to join the Box Office Team. These Ambassadors will report directly to the Box Office Manager and are responsible for assisting guests with purchasing tickets at the Box Office Kiosk.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with purchase decisions – selling tickets, upselling experiences and promoting the overall experience – ensures all additional venue features are promoted
  • Resolve customer conflicts with guidance from Box Office Manager or Box Office Supervisor
  • Maintain knowledge of items currently available to customers
  • Understand and relay purchasing policies to customers
  • Collect complete and accurate data from customers
  • Process tickets for resellers and third-party vendors
  • Provide feedback in regard to customers experiences
  • Work regular weekly shifts, including days, weekends, holidays and evening as assigned
  • Ascertain and resolve customer concerns, requests, and/or complaints in a timely, courteous and informed manner
  • Contribute to the environment of the box office in a manner that is conducive to customer service, sales promotion, safety, and quality of work life



Skills and Qualifications


Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of prior experience in customer-focused roles in the entertainment, live event, theme park, and hospitality sectors.


  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous experience in ticketing selling - cash handling and credit card transaction experience preferred
  • Previous experience working with the public in a retail environment. Previous box office experience is preferred, but not required

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and perform well under pressure
  • Previous Maintain a positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping others
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships with co-workers, give and receive constructive input, contribute ideas and viewpoints, adapt to changing circumstances and expectations and commitment to understand and remedy interpersonal conflicts – Teamwork Player
  • Must have the capability to positively engage a diverse group of guests in a high-volume environment
  • Must be able to work independently and exhibit initiative to solve problems, including tracking situations until an appropriate resolution is achieved
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum availability of three (3) six-hour shifts per week
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time
  • Tolerance of loud music
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality is required
  • Proficiency in foreign languages a plus


Summit One Vanderbilt requires all new hires be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their 1st day of work.


Rate: $23 per hour
