Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled PACU RN to join a respected healthcare facility in Cooperstown, NY.

Details:

• 36 hours per week
• 13 week assignment
• 3x12 hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care to adult and pediatric patients following surgical procedures

• Monitor vital signs, manage airways, and assess recovery from anesthesia

• Care for ICU patients who remain ventilated in PACU until transfer to appropriate unit

• Coordinate care for pediatric patients including same-day discharges for tube procedures and overnight stays for tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy cases

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York Required

• BLS and ACLS Certification Required

• PALS Certification Preferred

• Minimum of 2 years recent PACU or critical care experience Required

• Experience with ventilator management and post-cardiac surgery protocols Preferred
