Were hiring a Plumbing Engineer to support one of our top MEP clients focused on delivering commercial building system designs across various sectors. This is a technical role that blends design, analysis, and field insight- perfect for someone who thrives on creating efficient, code-compliant plumbing and fire protection systems from concept through construction. You'll work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to drive projects forward.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and layout of plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, and vent piping
Collaborate with MEP teams to coordinate system integration within building models
Develop fire protection system designs in accordance with NFPA and building code requirements
Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure system sizing aligns with project performance standards
Conduct site visits to support field verifications, punch lists, and installation reviews
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required
3+ years of experience in plumbing system designfor commercial buildings
Proficiency in Revitand AutoCAD for MEP modeling and documentation
Familiarity with applicable building codes, ADA, and fire protection regulations
Understanding of hydraulic principles, pipe sizing, and pressure loss calculations
PE license preferred or on track to obtain (EIT also considered)
Strong communication skills and ability to work on cross-functional project teams
Field experience with system layout verification or construction support is a plus
