Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join our fast-paced plaintiff’s practice. The ideal candidate will have strong legal writing skills and the ability to independently manage a caseload involving Labor Law (including 240/241(6)), premises liability, and motor vehicle accident claims.

This position requires a self-starter with litigation experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering results for injured clients. The attorney will be responsible for the full lifecycle of litigation, including motion practice, depositions, court appearances, settlement negotiations, and client communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and oppose motions, including motions for summary judgment, discovery motions, and motions in limine

  • Handle a full caseload independently, from intake through resolution

  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts

  • Attend and argue at court conferences, mediations, and hearings

  • Engage in settlement negotiations with defense counsel and insurance adjusters

  • Maintain regular and compassionate communication with clients

  • Collaborate with firm partners and staff to develop case strategies and maximize recovery

Qualifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York (required)

  • Minimum of 3+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to draft persuasive legal memoranda and complex motion papers

  • Strong negotiation skills and courtroom presence

  • Experience managing a litigation caseload independently

  • Bilingual in Spanish or working knowledge of Spanish strongly preferred due to client base

  • Admitted in other jurisdictions (e.g., NJ or CT) is a plus but not required
