Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Shift: 1:00 PM-9:00 PM (includes a 30 min break)
Duration: 13-Weeks Assignment (highly possibility of extension)
Pay Range: $33 per hour
Job Description:
- Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy technicians will assist pharmacists in the preparation, distribution of medications and maintaining drug inventory.
- Adheres to Federal, State, and local laws and other regulatory requirements regarding pharmacy and institutional practice.
- Performs related work rotating between satellites, tours and shifts.
- Under pharmacist supervision, will rotate assignments, and tours to meet departmental needs.
- Ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within a specified time period
- Received, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to various hospital areas
- Operate equipment properly.
- Troubleshoots automated dispensing systems as needed
Required Skills:
- One year of experience required
- Pharmacy dispensing experience, Sterile Processing experience, IV
room experience - Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the NYSED
