Job Description

Job Description

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens, serving the vibrant and diverse communities of Eastern Queens, is seeking a part time or full-time board-certified or board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Outpatient Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, with additional responsibilities in a newly launched Transition Age Youth (TAY) program. As part of our collaborative model, there will also be limited cross-coverage work in Pediatric Emergency Department, supporting urgent psychiatric consultations.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children, adolescents (ages 5–18), and transition-age youth (ages 16–25) through a new, grant-funded initiative. The TAY program serves youth with serious mental illness and high utilization of emergency and inpatient psychiatric services. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver evidence-based care using the Transition to Independence Process (TIP) and Individual Placement and Support (IPS) models, designed to foster recovery, independence, and vocational success. This is a Monday to Friday position with no weekend hours or call, offering excellent work-life balance in a mission-driven setting.

We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai based on qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking mental health team with a strong commitment to community psychiatry, medical education, and clinical innovation.

Queens Hospital Center offers a collegial environment, competitive salary, and full benefits. Candidates must have an MD degree, be board-certified or board-eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and possess a current New York State License, Medicaid number, and DEA number.
