Novisal has an Immediate Opening for a Construction Safety Professional to work on Major Infrastructure Projects.
Novisal is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Professional Services firm that specializes in on-site and off-site health and safety consulting, training, and comprehensive industrial hygiene services for both public and private businesses. We have an outstanding reputation, and we are experiencing exponential growth. We are looking for seasoned and serious Safety & Health Professionals to join our team and fill immediate openings for Construction Safety Managers on multiple long-term infrastructure projects in Manhattan.
Responsibilities will include the management of all safety and security matters at construction sites for NYC agencies including MTA:
- Provide safety oversight of demolition and construction activities
- Implement and enforce the Accident Prevention Program for each work site
- Enforce relevant federal, state and local regulations
- Help implement and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans and Site Work Plans
- Conduct Environmental Health & Safety Site Audits to ensure compliance
- Conduct accident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions development
- Conduct safety meetings as required
- Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and the general public
- Maintain Daily Safety Logs and photo records to help correct deficiencies
Qualifications:
- Secure knowledge of federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations
- 3-5 years of on-site construction safety experience
- Demonstrated, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and generate written reports as necessary
- Ability to communicate effectively and consistently with a wide range of personnel
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a must
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting and competing priorities
- Considerable skill working both independently and as part of a team required
Must Show Proof of:
- NYC DOB 40-Hr Site Safety Manager Certification
- 30-Hr OSHA Construction Safety & Health
- NYCTA Track Training with 90-day Right of Way Experience
- SSPC C-3/C-5 Deleading Supervisor Certification
- NYS Asbestos Inspector
- ASSP Membership
