Job Description
Job Description
We're looking for a Founding Engineer to join our client's team in New York City. We are an early-stage, fast-growing AI startup that is revolutionizing a massive, $700B industry with our AI-powered dispatching software. We've bootstrapped our way to profitability and have already achieved significant ARR in under a year, driven entirely by word-of-mouth. We recently raised a Series A round from top-tier VCs to accelerate our growth.
This is a unique opportunity to own the full product lifecycle from end to end and make a tangible impact on the future of our product from day one. You'll be working directly with the CTO and a world-class team of high-achievers.
This is a demanding, on-site, full-time position in our New York City office. We operate at high velocity, and the role requires working in-person 6 days a week with a willingness to put in 80–90 hours per week during this high-growth phase.
Compensation:
- Salary: $200k – $300k
- Equity: Competitive
- Visa Sponsorship: TN Visa available
Key Responsibilities:
- Rapidly prototype and ship new features, taking on end-to-end ownership.
- Work on hard technical problems related to dispatching algorithms, demand forecasting, and other AI/ML-powered features.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and ship solutions quickly.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest GenAI frameworks and tools.
What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a "cracked" engineer - someone with a proven history of exceptional achievements and a passion for solving complex, real-world problems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in full-stack product engineering, with a strong preference for experience at early-stage AI/ML startups or as a founder/founding engineer.
- Demonstrated success in developing and shipping AI products.
- Familiarity with the latest GenAI stack/tooling and experience building at least one GenAI application in the past year.
- Proficiency in Python, React, Typescript, and GCP/AWS.
- Exceptional academic background from a top-tier engineering school and a history of extraordinary achievements (e.g., winning hackathons or coding competitions).
- High confidence, low ego, and a desire to move fast.
- An active open-source contributor or someone deeply passionate about coding outside of work.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in an early engineering role at a venture-backed startup.
- A background working at companies known for exceptional engineering talent.
Benefits
- Impact: You won't just be a cog in a machine. You'll ship features on day one and see your work directly impact our customers and our business. What takes quarters at a big tech company is a weekend project for us.
- Growth: We're a small, tight-knit team of 11, where you'll work alongside and learn from some of the brightest minds in the industry.
- Culture: Our culture is creative, high-trust, and execution-focused. We have a strong bias for speed and a customer-first mindset.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Flexible time off ("take what you need" policy)
- All work travel expenses covered
- Monthly food stipend and unlimited office snacks
