Position Overview

Seeking a New York State licensed Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment. The pharmacist will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications and therapeutic devices, while also supporting pharmacy operations and collaborating with the clinical treatment team.

This is a state-run bid position. The bid process closes on 2/20. After submission, it may take 7–14 business days for the facility to determine interview selections.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday

• 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense therapeutic devices, medications, and pharmaceutical preparations

• Provide medication management services and patient education

• Offer professional guidance on pharmacy policies, procedures, and related issues

• Support the clinical treatment team with medication-related expertise

• Assist with distributional pharmacy technician duties, including:

  • Operating an automatic repackaging machine

  • Medication cart filling

• Ensure compliance with state regulations and pharmacy standards

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Pharmacist License (required)

• Experience in inpatient or institutional pharmacy setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of medication management and pharmacy operations

• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
