Job Title: MRI Technologist
Location: New York City, New York
Schedule: 40hrs
Shift: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Sunday, Thursday, Friday) 7:00 PM to 8:00 AM (Sunday through Saturday)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Pay Range: $2600.00- $2700.00 Weekly DOE
Job Summary:
We are looking for an Experienced MRI Technologist skilled in performing high-quality MRI procedures with a strong emphasis on patient safety and adherence to established protocols. Proven ability to maintain and operate MRI equipment efficiently, ensuring a clean and safe imaging environment. Adept at accurately documenting procedures and patient information in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct MRI safety interviews prior to procedures
- Identify patients using two approved identifiers at every point of contact
- Explain procedures and respond to patient questions or concerns
- Operate and adjust MRI equipment and select proper imaging parameters
- Maintain zone 4 MRI safety standards for all personnel and patients
- Position patients correctly and monitor them during scanning
- Clean MRI scanner and exam room after each use
- Evaluate image quality and ensure proper labeling and documentation
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist in basic troubleshooting
- Maintain and track inventory of imaging supplies
- Enter patient data and procedural notes into the EMR
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year MRI experience.
- Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- License: Valid NYSDOH Radiologic Technologist License, Advanced-Level MRI Certification (ARRT or ARMRIT).
- Required: Associate's Degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
