What will you do:
The Store Asset Protection Manager is a leadership role within the store, responsible for overseeing all matters related to the protection of company assets. This role will be accountable for leading asset protection across front and back of house, ensuring compliance and behavior in line with company and store procedures and expectations. This role will be actively involved in daily business operations, the store business plan, and commercial goals, while focusing on influencing the team and business to adhere to proper standards to minimize risk and loss. The goal for this position is to create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors, and property are safe and well-protected.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will oversee key areas of the store, including: Compliance with company and store procedures.
- Working closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure the entire store team is trained, guided, and clear on all company security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Monitoring of all procedures to ensure compliance with the latest updates and direction. Auditing for compliance across all operational standards, including cash oóce/vault, product handling, client ceremony, shipping and receiving, after-sales, repairs, security, and administration
- Implementing existing and identifying new procedures where applicable. Partnering with corporate teams to inöuence the evolution of procedures and processes in store
- Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs. - Support the Consignment Product process with proper documentation.
- Implement, maintain, and Manage Alarm Systems, Access Control Systems, and CCTV for the store.
- Ensures that the team follows security and privacy laws and standards.
Security
- Leading a team of Security Guards, including training and supervising, alongside day-to-day operations such as staóng a schedule and monitoring expenses/budget.
- Ensuring all incidents of theft, loss, or suspicious behavior are reported promptly to store management, corporate teams, and law enforcement.
- Ensure the security equipment is operational and managed properly, assisting with requests for CCTV video and related reviews.
- Contact the security vendor for intervention where necessary.
- Educate and execute emergency preparedness and physical security measures for employees and customers.
- Lead store safety culture and safety compliance. Manage any customer/employee safety incidents, addressing causes and avoiding repetition of the incidents, and reporting all to Human Resources.
- Lead communication on theft and fraud mitigation strategies across the selling team.
Security Operations
- Presents security improvement plans.
- Plan and coordinate security operations for speciõc events
- Investigates security threats and breaches, prepare related reports.
- Create reports for management on security status.
- Support all "In Store" / "Out of Store" PR/Marketing Events & HJ Events.
- Build awareness of local security threats, utilizing the network to identify/communicate risks.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7 years of experience in retail loss prevention, asset protection, security, or law enforcement, with a minimum of 2 years in a retail asset protection role
- Investigation and audit skills.
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills, with Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Present a professional image to all Internal and External Clients.
- Maintains high ethical standards and adheres to internal policies and procedures.
- Problem solving and a proactive approach.
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV), alongside Microsoft Oóce
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures, including reporting and emergency response planning.
- Committed and reliable, able to maintain utmost conõdentiality and discretion. - Requires periods of walking, standing, communicating, reaching, crouching, and climbing ladders
- Frequent use of computers and other technology is necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register, and the ability to process register transactions
- Frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds.
- Flexibility in scheduling, expected to work to a retail shift schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
